Description

Back story... While exploring alone deep within a nearby dungeon you come across a group of Goblins whispering, unaware of your presence. Carefully you get a little closer. You discover they are part of a larger group with plans on raiding your village. To get more of the details you sneak as close as possible to discover their leader is an undead Lich King who has been forcing them to do his bidding. As you lean against the corridor wall to get closer, you knock loose a stone that rattles across the corridor and all eyes turn to you. Not one to run from a fight or Goblins for that matter, you square off and face them as they start approaching. You tell yourself this should be an easy fight. The only problem is you didn't notice the rather large Cave Troll coming up from behind them; grinning from ear to ear. Now the odds just went out of your favor and you realize this probably won't go well. As you slowly back into a nearby cavern to try and bottle neck them in. Without a word, they rush you. The Cave Troll doesn't even bother avoiding the Goblins; he just tramples over them trying to get to you. The battle begins and you are in the fight of your life. Each blow from the Troll's giant club smashes against your shield and forces you deeper and deeper, back. You begin to realize that if you get backed into a corner it's all over. You decide to turn and run but five steps in and the ground disappears with only blackness around you and the wind rushing past your face.

You feel the sensation of falling!

Your fall feels like an eternity, bouncing and crashing off the cavern walls. You chuckle to yourself with the realization that at least this will be a quicker death than a Cave Troll's club caving in the top of your head.

Splash!

Suddenly you are submerged, tumbling along an underground river bed. You manage to reach out and grab the jagged edge of a boulder, pulling yourself out of the water and onto a small rocky ledge. You are exhausted but alive, but for how long? You have to get back to your village and warn the people of the impending attack. With only minor bruises and scrapes you pray to your God and assess the situation. With a quick look around you see a corridor in the distance with a lit torch on the wall, monsters may be nearby. With no time to waste you begin your trek into the unknown and hopefully, eventually, to the surface. The quicker you escape this dungeon the sooner you can save your village and your friends.

Synopsis: Dungeon Flee is a card-driven dungeon crawl with deck building. Six dungeon corridors, filled with monsters, traps, doors, treasures, empty corridors, dead ends and stairs await you. You must navigate these corridors to help you escape the dungeon. Each round you must travel through a corridor which takes you closer to the exit or to a possible dead end. Keep running and if you hit a dead end turn around and continue running. Each round presents you with new encounters and new dangers but you many also find forgotten treasures and empty corridors for you to rest in. If you can survive long enough to make it through four stairs heading up, you escape the dungeon and warn your village. Take too long and hordes of monsters overrun you. Never to be heard from again.

Victory Conditions: The goal of the game will be to flee the dungeon alive by exiting four Stairs Up cards without your health falling below 1. If your health ever drops below 1 you lose the game.
