Life is grim on the edge of humanity. The once lush earth is now scorched by the relentless wars and endless greed of mankind. Your tribe is one of the last holdouts attempting to restore hope in a hopeless world. You have retrieved critical plans from a local barbaric faction of raiders and must make a mad dash across the dusty landscape to alert your base before it is too late. It is time for a dustrun!
Dustrunner is a solo-only game that will have you attempting to race across a post-nuclear wasteland in your all-terrain cyberpunk vehicle, while fending off persistant raiders, Orwellian spybots, and earth-shaking dust worms. As the player, you will be presented with choice after choice that will set the course of the game. You will feel responsible for both your losses and your victories. Are you ready to make a dustrun?
(1) In Dustrunner you will get to construct your vehicle before each run from 8 different combinations, and then modify them with equipment, making each run feel fresh.
(2) Your goal is to race across the board and reach the end before you are caught by the horde of raiders. This creates a whole new layer of tension.
(3) Dustrunner uses a completely new way of handling outcomes with a deck of resolution cards. No more being shackled to the results of a die roll.
You will begin the game by constructing a vehicle for your dustrun by combining cards to create the perfect mix. You will then equip your vehicle with modifications to produce the perfect dustrunner.
In Dustrunner you will be using the core mechanic of drawing two cards face-down and picking one to reveal. You may decide to resolve the first card and discard the second without looking at it, or you may pass on the first, but must then resolve the second. This mechanic is great at creating tension and choice. Enemy cards drawn as the 2nd card have more health, making passing on a raider as a first card all the bit more scary.
There is only one way to win Dustrunner, and that is to reach your base before either the raiders catch you, or you lose all your health. Dustrunner is not a beat your own score game. You either reach the base and win, or you lose. However, there is a scoring system in place for folks who do like to see how well they did.

It's been 5 days since I got my copy of the game and what a ride it has been. Have played at home, the studio, a restaurant, the tin goes with me everywhere. Having won or lost, and I have died in sev...
Incredibly well done game. One of my absolute favorites and I play it often. Highly recommended
We have played and reviewed this game now, and its 100% approved. Watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCQtxh_PLt8
This is a great game to take down from the shelf, set it up in a minute or two, and then play a couple of times. The component quality is very good, the artwork is fantastic, the theme is fun with a h...
Excellent game, art, theme, understand-ability - with a ton of play in a small package. Expansion (Gnome Pack #1) really adds more depth (more expansions please!!) as-does the game mat. I highly recom...
Amazing gameplay, lot of fun and action from start to end not easy to win, wastelands have lots of deadly surprises!!!
I was hesitant about this game. The colors caught my eye but the theme made me cautious. After studying the game play I purchased and I am glad I did. The post cataclysm environment is secondary to...
Well, I'm going to start out with a short disclaimer: I LOVE Jason Glover games. And Dustrunner is no exception! Utilizing Jason's two card mechanics-- with potential doom when pressing your luck-- t...
It is like playing a Mad Max moive.
My only gripe with the game is that the 3D printed cars are rough and unpolished. Aside from that, absolutely beautiful design, fun to play, and very quick to start and finish. Definitely a must b...
It is a very compact face-paced solo survival game in a solid tin can. I enjoyed my first run, and already wanted to do a second run right after away, but that has to wait, for now. I would have rated...
I backed the Tin Serie on new year sale (my first order). Best decision - I love it so much
Having great fun with this game. Although there were issues with overseas delivery that were not the fault of Game Crafter, Game Crafter did resolve the order and I am very pleased with their customer...
I don’t think anyone reads these…but… if you do- this is one of the best games I own. Get the mat. I play s almost daily in a 300+ board game library… and this is one of the best.
Great fun compact solo race through the wastelands!
This game was a surprise hit for me. Compact and streamlined system. Good fun.
I'm having a blast with this game. A lot of fun. Play it anywhere in less than 30 minutes. Great game.
Loved my playthroughs of this! It feels like every decision matters and even if you win, there are scores for winning so it adds replayability.
Great little game. It's a tough but rewarding win.
If you like the other games by Grey Gnome, you'll like this too. Similar mechanics but enough new to keep it unique. Plus a very different theme
I was unsure about this game but i keep coming back to it. Its quick and thematic. I love how i can push my luck. Ill be keeping an eye out for other games by this company!
The mechanics of the game are great. This plays over a lunch break beautifully and is always a fun time.
Bought Dustrunner during the July sale. I read reviews and was excited to play. I think I played it at least seven times the first day. I play it once a week, if not more. I cannot say enough about th...
Fantastic game, easily to set up, play, and transport. Goes just about everywhere with me. About to order Tin Helm and currently super stoked for the upcoming Tin Realm expansion with new cards for Du...
Great rules, easy to pick up and understand. Plays well with excellent replay. Love the art and design. Clever use of cards to make everything fit in that tiny tin!
I'm more likely to play Gate or Tin Helm, but if you enjoyed Tim helm or Desolate, you should enjoy Dustrunner. The art is great, the mechanic of the raiders chasing you as you try to make it back to...
Incredibly impressed! Very balanced gameplay, mechanics are top notch. Just the right amount of customization and gameplay options without too much crunch. Rules are easy enough to remember and refere...
What a cool game. You've definitely grown as a designer. This is awesome.
Great game - rules, components, theme, etc. - it really makes you feel the tension of being chased!
Great portable fun and a tense race game
Really easy to setup and play the game. I wish the game came with more map cards or had a bit more variability in setup in some way with the map to make the decision on choosing a route mean more. As ...
DustRunner drew me in with the amazing cyper-apocolypti-punk aesthetic, and the gameplay seemed easy to grok while also being challenging. Getting it to the table was fairly easy, and there are tutori...
Love the 80s Mad Max vibe and artwork. Ability to sacrifice VP to redraw means you rarely feel like you lose a game due to randomness. The pursuit mechanic makes the game feel exciting and tight.
I bought it during the crowd sale. Dustrunner hit the table at least twice a week. It's fun, you can customize your vehicle as your mood dictates. I love the fact that we are under constant pressure f...
love the art and the mechanics are fun. i've lost more than i've won, but i keep trying to win AND have a high score, which keeps eluding me. easy to play several games in a row--keeps me engaged for ...

You can't get any better than a Jason Glover game!
Another fantastic small solo game by grey gnome. Very fun, very replayable and the artwork is outstanding. Great addition to my collection
Awesome game! Super thoughtful design and multi use of every card!
Another great design by Jason Glover. Easy to learn. Easy to remember even after not playing it in a while. Easy to adjust difficulty. Good fun.
Fantastic and portable! 10/10
This game is another great design by Jason!
Another great game from Grey Gnome games. I like the variability and the ease f resetting if things don’t go as well as planned. This game provides a good flow once you have learned e rules and just t...
The game is super fun and highly replayable. There are quite a bit of options and decisions that you can make during the game and could result in loss or victory. The game mechanics are beautifully ...
I bought this as a Kickstarter Backer. Wonderful game with a lot of playability. This game is begging for an expansion. Already I have designed my own set of terrain cards with new encounters and vehi...
The rules about the first/second card thing were a little tricky, and the game is pretty tough. Great overall for a solo experience.
Just got the DustRunner game today, damn fun game! Easy to understand rules, fun game play, the replay value is great, the first game, I won but I took the safe route, with the well stocked car, so a...
Bought Dustrunner on the crowd sale and have played it a few times with different vehicles and modifications. All of the starts I tried were viable and I had a lot of fun with the new resolution deck ...
Just received my copy and finished my first playthrough (I lost - ran out of health after a particularly brutal battle with the raiders). I was immediately drawn to the visual style of this game, and ...
