Description
Only 2 centuries have passed since we first put a man on the moon. Gradually, the focus of mankind turned to the exploration and exploitation of our own galaxies and then to neighboring galaxies. Still there are no known inhabitable planets within our reach. This pursuit has taken a devastating toll on the resources of our own planet. Keeping pace with the mining, manufacturing, and energy production has made resources scarce, raised pollution, and nearly dried up our water supply. Vegetation has receded to the edges of the remaining water sources. The planet is dying and the population is dwindling. Food is scarce and the atmosphere is thinning. Global temperature is rising to the edge of life sustainability. Currently on the brink of anarchy, the global consortium has banded the population of the world together to pursue the common goal for the survival of the species. Raw materials are plentiful in the neighboring galaxies. The remaining galactic mining companies will work together to replenish planetary requirements in order to regenerate the atmosphere and fight to save the human race.
In Dying Planet 1-3 players work together to sustain the planet’s needs while recovering a plummeting population crisis. This is a game that requires cooperation but ultimately a winner is determined by who can build up the greatest wealth at the end of 1 hour. Players travel to nearby galaxies, mining raw materials in their Galactic Mining Barges (GMB) and returning to the planet to create resources that will recover the atmosphere and feed the population while balancing the need to expand their ship and their wealth.
This game contains a premium upgrade where the printed components will be embossed with a linen texture.
This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
