FIVE GOLDEN RINGS is a "Twelve Days of Christmas"-themed game of strategy. Players take turns removing sets from a layout and scoring points while they do so, but each player must also try to earn certain end-game bonuses, such as those for most cards or the bonuses described on the five "Golden Rings" cards. In addition, each card a player chooses makes the card beneath it available for opponents to choose, so selections must be made carefully: maybe marrying the Lords a-Leaping to the Ladies Dancing will be the better move, or perhaps snagging the Partridge in a Pear Tree.
FIVE GOLDEN RINGS is a great game to play with the family during the holidays and makes a great stocking stuffer!
Make sure also to check out the rules to "Christmas Cassino," another game that can be played with the deck. The link is below.
The artwork for the cards comes from the "Twelve Days of Christmas" postage stamp set issued by Christmas Island in 1977. These lovely stamps have been prized by philatelists and admired by graphic artists since their issue and certainly add to the theme and flavor of this game.
