New England, 1675. It is a generation after the Pilgrims first landed at Plymouth Rock. Native Americans and Puritan colonists live side by side, but any goodwill that once existed between them has now totally dissolved. War is inevitable, and each side considers the other to be an existential threat. It is a fight to the death - it is King Philip's War, a tragic conflict that will be known to posterity as the bloodiest war per capita in American history.
Flintlock and Tomahawk is a turn-based strategy game in the tradition of Axis and Allies, A Game of Thrones: The Board Game, and the Total War video game series. In the game, you take command of an English or Native faction during King Philip's War, each with their own unique special abilities, advantages, and weaknesses.
Win by conquering your enemies and becoming the dominant power in New England. Victory will not come easily. Your most carefully laid schemes could be foiled by desertion, disease, political intrigue, and more – you may even be accused of witchcraft!
The combat system is ruthless and gameplay is cutthroat. Alliances will be broken. Friendships will be tested. And the suspense won't let up until the very last turn.
