GLORY is a dynamic educational board game that combines elements of deck-building, Trivial Pursuit, role-playing and real-time strategy games.
In GLORY, four teenagers from cities across the world--Los Angeles, Lagos, Sarajevo and Ulaanbataar--simultaneously find themselves confronting a violent local gang. With their lives at risk, they separately encounter the mentor, who offers to help them if they can retrieve a series of historic relics. Left with no choice they each accept. The game begins when each finds him/herself on the search for historical secrets, lost in the year 500 BCE. Survival and ultimate success relies on the ability to navigate treacherous terrain, discover and demonstrate historical knowledge, collaboratively strategize, AND avoid the evil and mysterious adversary cult who pursues you everywhere you go...
GLORY can be played in 40 minute sessions, during which each player controls a hero and plays as the adversary at least once. Campaign mode combines five sessions and allows for progression through careers and lots of emergent complexity. While the champion of GLORY collects the most points, ultimately, everyone wins by playing GLORY as learning and fun are central to the experience.
We have been developing GLORY since the summer of 2011. The game has been played by hundreds of individuals and piloted in classrooms in six schools. Whether you're a teacher, parent, or history nerd of any age, GLORY will make a great addition to your game collection. We are thrilled to finally offer a fun and dynamic game to the world, thanks in part to The GameCrafter.
This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
