In between the planes of existence, the lost island of Ukashima floats amongst the ether, wracked by alchemical storms and shifting tectonics.
Every century, the mages who have been cursed to this place must fight to escape.
A race to weild the alchemical power of Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Void will find themselves at home once again.
Godaigo: Secret of the Five Elements is inspired by the Japanese Buddhist philosophical concept of Godai, or Five Element Theory, with gameplay inspired by Magic: The Gathering, Isometric Hex Gaming, Roguelike Exploration, and Building Games.
In Godaigo, players must explore the board to find Elemental Scrolls, and be the first to cast one of each type to win the game.
To do this, the players must also acquire spell components called "Elemental Stones" and arrange them on the board in specific shapes.
This challenges players spatial strategy skills, and creates a game experience that is pleasing to the eye.
Additionally, these stones have their own unique abilities which affect movement and gameplay.
For example, an Earth Stone can be used to block a path or cut off a resource, or a Wind Stone can allow players to move more freely around the board.
Spells (or "Scrolls") can interfere with an opponent's strategy, or be used to manipulate the state of the board in your favor.
Godaigo: Secret of the Five Elements provides the fun of spellcasting card games, but does not require additional booster packs. The randomized board state makes each playthrough a unique experience.

Note: As Godaigo hex tiles are laser cut, you will need to wipe these pieces with a paper towl or cloth before playing (unless you like the soot from the cutter getting everywhere).
