Description

This is a simple single-card game, perfect to be played during an event or trip with family and friends!

You will just need the card and a pencil/pen to play.

in GOOD BOY! players will alternate playing the role of the Dog Handler trying to give commands to other players, who must be careful not to obey those commands!

If you have the card, you are the Dog Handler. Hide the card with you and try to make one of the other players obey one of your commands without them noticing! Try to make your command sound like a request you would naturally make to someone else and have them act like a good boy before they realize it!

If you don't have the card (and especially if you're not sure who the current Dog Handler might be), watch out! At any moment someone will try to give you a command. If you obey 3 commands during the game, you're out!

Preparation:

Write down the names of all players on the front of the card. Choose a player to start as the Dog Handler. The Dog Handler must keep the card. They don't need to hold the card at all times, but needs to know where the card is.

How to play:

Whoever has the card is the current Dog Handler. At any time the Dog Handler can give a command to one of the players using one of the listed commands. The command is only valid if the Dog Handler has the card in his/her pocket or if they are discreetly holding it in their hands while giving the command.

Command examples:

“Sarah, get me that glass” or “Sarah, sit here with me”.

If a player complies with the Dog Handler's command, the Dog Handler must then reveal that they are holding the card and say GOOD BOY! Then they must mark the space next to the name of the player who obeyed their request with an X and pass the card to that player. In case this was the third X marked next to that player’s name, their are now out of the game and the card stays with the current Dog Handler.

At any time if a player receives a request and suspects that it’s a command, they may ask to see the other player's pockets and hands. The first player must then reveal it, and if they actually have the card, it must pass to the player that suspected the command (the command is considered failed so no X will be written next to that player's name).

In a game with 3+ players, you can keep a secret who the current Dog Handler is. Players must also keep a secret if they are still in the game or not. This information should only be on this card.

Endgame:

You can pre-set a duration for the game (it can last for some hours, a weekend, or a whole week! It's up to you!). At the end of the set time, the player with the fewest X’s marked (or the last player remaining) is the winner!
