Description
Grand Sumo is a 2-player card game based on the 1,500 year old sport of sumo wrestling, in which you will be programming your wrestler’s actions through card play and aim to either push you opponent out of the ring, or wrestle him to the ground.
Like real sumo bouts, you can attempt to attack aggressively in hope of a quick victory, or try to outwit and outlast your opponent.
Each bout in Grand Sumo consists of 3 contacts, where you will simultaneously program your wrestlers' actions by playing cards face down in front of you. When both players are ready, the cards are revealed one at a time, and resolved as pushing, wrestling and defensive actions in the ring.
The player who manages to push or rotate the wrestlers token to meet a winning condition wins the bout, and the first player to win 3 bouts will be crowned the winner of Grand Sumo.
