Haunted Tales

The veil is thin between this world and the spirit world in the sleepy town of Misty Hills. Ghosts walk the earth, unable to find their way to the afterlife. These lost souls must first resolve their unfinished business on the mortal plane by shaping the lives of the town’s people and earning the karma they need to open the gates to the underworld. And so the people of Misty Hills go about their business, beset by invisible phantoms eager to help or harm.

Players assume the role of ghosts and take turns playing Power Cards in an effort to influence story characters on the game map. These characters have their own objectives that will change over the course of the game, and it’s up to the players to either help them or prevent them from accomplishing their goals.

By either helping or harming a certain character, players will earn Influence with that character. This Influence, in turn, will earn ghosts Karma when the character reaches objectives during its story. Ghosts receive more Powers as they acquire more Karma, and eventually, a ghost will earn a chance to leave the mortal plane by helping or harming a specific individual. The first player to complete his or her chosen challenge wins the game!
