HeroQuest Xtras

25 years in the making, this is the 4th edition of a completely unofficial fan-created supplement for the game Hero Quest, originally created in 1989 by Milton Bradley.

Instead of the original 4 heroes (Barbabrian, Dwarf, Elf, and Wizard), this suppliment allows mixing and matching between various races and classes to have more custonization choices. And what's better, they remain (mostly) within the rules of the original game. The barbarian in the original game becomes a human barbarian with the same base stats.

Your characters do get some enhancements however, there is the ability to use strength and dexterity tests. Jumping a pit is now a dexterity test, but for the average adventurer, it is still the same die roll, but the more dexerous the hero is, the easier it is to jump said pit.

Other additions include more items to buy in the shops, new arifacts, new race and class abilities, a whole new spellcasting system for the wizard (now called a mage) as well as spells for some new classes; the cleric and the bard. There are also some new Chaos spells for enemy wizards. There are more than 40 monsters cards each with their own stats. In all, there are over 460 cards in this supplement, and all match and are compatible within the original rules set in the original game.
