Hissy Fit: Scratch Attack!
A game for 2 players, ages 8+, play time 8-10 minutes
One player is a human trying to get their cat in the carrier. The other player is the cat, trying to escape!
Components: This card, 2 markers.
Setup: 1 marker on “Start,” the other off the card to the left of the scratch track.
How To Play: In the style of “rock, paper, scissors,” each player will present their hand showing 1-5 fingers. You can’t play the same number twice in a row. Move the markers based on the difference between the numbers:
- Equal (a tie): Move cat 2 spaces
- 1 apart (e.g., 4 & 5): Move cat 1 space
- 2 apart: Standoff! (Nothing happens)
- 3 or 4 apart: Scratch forward 1 space
The cat wants the numbers far apart, and the human wants them as close as possible.
Repeat until a victory condition is met:
- Cat enters the carrier: Human wins
- Five scratches: Cat wins
