QUARK is a quantum computer so advanced that it is bordering on becoming a bona fide A.I. Tasked by its creator, Septimus Oddenblatt, QUARK is designed to create its own algorithms in order to catalog all knowledge and find unprecedented patterns and discoveries.
While cataloging the linguistic patterns of Classical Greek, QUARK confused Greek letters with mathematical symbols and turned linguistic patterns into a strange mathematical alchemy that accidentally cracked the code to the space-time continuum opening a wormhole smack-dab into a computer infested with sentient alien computer bugs.
Now, these advanced alien computer viruses are attempting to infiltrate QUARK using what they believe is his programming language: Classical Greek. Theses aliens have literally weaponized Greek words and sentences. This mistake has allowed QUARK to defend himself, but his processing power is spiking and still the aliens are attacking.
As QUARK's claxons blare, Septimus Oddenblatt contacts his older brother, Dr. Octavius Oddenblatt, who happens also to be your professor in Classical Greek. Professor Oddenblatt gathers you and some others who know a little Greek to help him and his brother (and QUARK) defeat this existential alien threat.
When you arrive at the lab, Septimus reveals that QUARK has spared just enough processing power to create an interface for your team that will allow you to interact with QUARK (and the aliens) and battle those buggers in real time.
Curiously, QUARK’S interface looks a whole lot like a board game--this board game in fact.
You and your team must get to work and save humanity from a hostile alien takeover. To that end, you have three simple objectives:
Defend QUARK
Battle the hostile aliens
Destroy the alien ship before the aliens hack into QUARK and become our new galactic overlords.
Thankfully you know some Greek . . . and from the looks of things, your going to need it!
