** RULES **
SETUP
Shuffle the monster deck. Deal 3 cards to each player. Cards with dragon silhouettes are placed on the table in front of the player, with the dragon points facing up. These are the hypnotised dragons that can fight for the player in a battle. The other cards are item cards, which are put on the player hand. The monster deck is placed on the middle of the table, revealing the silhouette of one monster only.
GAMEPLAY
The game starts with the player to the left of the dealer, and continues clockwise around the table. The current player must either take the top card from the monster deck, or start a battle.
Take the top card
The player takes the top card from the monster deck. If it has a dragon silhouette, the hypnotised dragon card is put on the table in front of the player with the dragon points facing up. If the card is an item card, the stolen item card is put on the player hand and the player looses one Victory point, if he has any.
Start a battle
Cards are only played during battle. The boxed icons on the cards indicate how cards may be played, for instance "deploy weapon", "alert monster" or "disorient monster". In a round, each player takes a turn in playing a card, starting with the current player.
Players that wish to fight in the battle must deploy a weapon or hypnotised dragon card in the first round. Melee weapons can not be played after ranged weapons. If a weapon card or a hypnotised dragon card is played in any round, the player may also play a monster card from the monster deck. The battle ends when no more cards are played.
The outcome of the battle is determined by comparing the total number of monster points to the total number of weapon- and hypnotised dragon- points. Dragon cards are turned to reveal their monster points. If the monsters have more points, the fighting players were defeated, otherwise the players win. Cards played using a "cracked icon" are discarded after the outcome of the battle has been determined.
If the players are defeated, the monster cards are shuffled back into the monster deck. Fighting players that have any cards on their hands each loose one Victory point, if they have any. The played item cards are picked one at a time and in turn by all players, until all cards are picked.
If the monsters are defeated, the fighting players take their turn in picking the played monster cards, one at a time. Dragon cards give one Victory point each and are picked AFTER all monster item cards have been picked.
After a battle, players may drop any number of item cards from their hand to the table for other players to pick. Cards that are of no interest to any players are discarded.
END OF GAME
The game ends when there are no more cards in the monster deck at the start of a player turn. The winner is the player with most Victory points.
