Hunter Trials

In Hunter Trials, you play as a Hunter. Your job is to protect the village from monstrous threats, learn to craft equipment from monster remains, and return a champion of the people.

Hunter Trials is a Boss Battler card game all packed into a Poker sized tuck box. It provides all of the strategy and fun of a big box Boss Battler, but in a tighter package with easy to learn rules.

The base game comes with two Hunters, the Battle Axe wielder and the Poison Blade assassin. An expansion is already in the works which will add two new Hunters.

On a typical turn, you will move around the monster, making smart use of the environment while focusing on the monster's vulnerable sides.

Once in position, you will utilize your Hunter's deck of offense, defense, and tactic cards to create card combos to bring down four mighty bosses.

A special Boss deck, filled with Reaction Cards, will determine if the Monster reacts throughout your turn, with different actions triggering these cards.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

To avoid tokens, Hunter Trials comes with cards you will rotate to track things from health, armor, monster rage, and a combo meter.

A deck of Reaction cards shared by each Monster.

Four Monster cards, each with a backside for Phase 2, different vulnerable sides that must be attacked, and each Monster comes with two special Reaction cards to spice things up.

Environment cards to change up the battlefield, some of which are unique to each boss Monster.

Each of the two Hunters comes with 15 base Action cards. On top of those, you will have Weapon, Armor, Equipment, Potion, and upgraded Action cards.

A Crafting Table card for Hunters to craft new equipment and a Round Summary/Reference card to help with order of events and special iconography.
