Into The Mainframe

Into The Mainframe is a 2 Player hidden movement strategy game, where your cunning and thinking skills will be tested while you try to outsmart your opponent at every move. In this game players take different roles inside a futuristic cyberspace.

One player will step into the shoes (or rather, sit at the computer) of a sneaky Hacker trying to infiltrate the Mainframe without being detected. Their goal is to extract information and assets, which will be very valuable in the black cyber-market. GET IN, GET OUT, GET PAYED.*

The other player will take the role of an advanced A.I. Security System, trying to detect and capture the Hacker before they can accomplish their goal. You have one mission, and one mission alone. SEEK AND DESTROY.*

The board is different each game, as both players begin by building the Mainframe one tile at a time. Strategy comes into play in every tile placement, and one bad move can give a great advantage to your opponent!

As the Hacker, your movement will be hidden from your opponent. But that does not mean they will have no idea where you are. They will be able to track your movements as you sneak through from module to module, so the less you reveal with each movement, the better for your mission.

Your mission when playing as the AI is to track the Hacker down, and close their path to corner them. Hopefully you will be able to pin them down and destroy them. You have a couple tools available to assist you with your hunt; Firewalls can impede the Hacker's movement, while Scanners will give you valuable information. Finally, your prescence in the Mainframe is able to perform a destructive Purge in your position.

Getting what you came for won't be easy. You'll constantly have to outsmart your opponent to acquire your precious cargo. And once you have it, it's time to get out! The AI will most likely find you, but you have some tricks up your sleeve. Strong powerups that will allow you to undermine their defences, mess with their plans and sneak away right at the last second.

Whatever side you're on, it will take all of your wit and fast thinking to overcome the odds in the Mainframe. Happy Hacking!
