In Island Run you and the other players represent tribe members moving around on an island trying to survive by gathering Wood, Food and Hides, collecting other players resources and expanding your tribe. The tribes mostly live in harmony, but the scarcity of the resources on the island force the tribes to compete with each other for survival.
2-4 players, 15-20 minutes
Island Run is an easy to learn game and plays quickly.
During your turn you choose one of the rolled dice, move the corresponding amount of steps and follow the action depicted on the spot on the island you moved to.
The goal of the game is to get the most victory points by creating the largest tribe, collecting the most resources and gathering the most Wood, Food and Hides.
Island Run has a dice-drafting system in which your own dice are free to use and the dice of other players have a cost. Island Run has a closed resource economy. You interact with the other players by using other players dice to move & by trading & stealing resources. You move your tribe members around the island until a tribe member completes a third passage of their village. Then the game ends immediately, you count your victory points and determine the winner!
