Jade Talisman

THE STORY:

An ancient temple has been unearthed, a place of mystical relics that impart powers to their holder. You are a delver, one who explores such places to steal their treasures. But you’re not the only delver to hear of this newly discovered place of power. You and the other delvers are racing to collect these treasures…or to steal them from each other.

Jade Talisman can be played in many ways. First, the board is not laid out the same way every time. There are sixteen ways to configure the walls, changing the layout of the game board. In addition to this, there are eighteen optional rules that may be added, each of which changes the game in some way. In all, there are thousands of different ways to play this game. Which one will be your favorite?

GAME PLAY:

In Jade Talisman, players move around the board trying to collect magical talismans either by picking them up off the ground or by stealing them from other players.

In your turn you may move a wall (that’s right, the walls move) and move your piece. These things may be done in either order. If you land on an available talisman, you pick it up. If you land on an opponent’s piece, you may try to steal a talisman from them.

Once all twelve talismans have been picked up, the player with the most talismans is the winner.

Games are about sitting down with friends and family--and possibly your imaginary friend Stacy (you aren't quite sure whether Stacy is male or female, which is odd when you think about it since they're imaginary and don't really have a gender)--and having fun.

And so Art-Free Games was born. Our goal is to make enjoyable games that prove you don't need art to have fun.
