Description

Nostalgia, awe, and wonder - the feelings that flow through us as we slowly roll these cylindrical objects in our hands, with each movement changing the intricate geometrical shapes that we see.

In Kaleidoscope, you will choose between a diamond or triangle each turn and color it in. Shapes cannot be directly adjacent to another shape and enclosed spaces count as points. Can you enclose the most number of spaces in this beautiful area control game?

  1. Prepare 2 dry erase markers of different colors. Each player will then choose which marker they will use throughout the game.
  2. On each player’s turn, they may choose to draw a triangle or a diamond, taking up exactly 2 adjacent triangles anywhere in the grid.
  3. The shape drawn must not be directly adjacent to any other colored shapes.
  4. Uncolored spaces, filled with any number of triangles that are completely surrounded by 1 color become points at the end of the game. This includes spaces on the perimeter of the play area.

The player with the most points is the winner.

Kaleidoscope was created by Maikai Games, an international family from the US and Japan.

With 3 very young children, we strive to create games that are simple to learn and engaging for all members of the family. We also love to mix fun with education and in Kaleidoscope, players must strategically place either diamonds or triangles to create spaces surrounded by their color.

Thank you again for taking the time to look at Kaleidoscope. We hope that you enjoy it and that it makes your game night a memorable one, whether it be with friends or family.

Disclaimer: While Kaleidoscope may be mechanically playable by children younger than the advertised age, the Consumer Products Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) requires that all products manufactured for children under the age of 12 be tested by an independent third party. Please note that Kaleidoscope has not been tested, nor has it received any certification for it to be manufactured for children under the age of 12.
