Go is a very addictive ancient Asian strategy game with only a few very simple rules which can be learned in minutes, but, like chess, has subtle strategies and tactics that can be studied for a lifetime.
KayaBAN looks like a beautiful full-sized kaya wood go board but without the price and it's easy to carry with you! Board folds into a 9 x 9 inch square and easily fits into a bag or backpack for visiting a club or friend.
You will need a set of standard sized go stones to play this game. Inexpensive plastic or wood stones may be found on eBay or Amazon. Vendors I’ve had good experience with include Yellow Mountain Imports (
Yellow Mountain Imports [www.ymimports.com]) and FRP Games (
FRP GAMES - CATEGORY - Go [www.frpgames.com]). At a little greater expense you can get glass or ceramic stones with a little more weight to them. You could even use light and dark colored disc shaped stones or glass beads from a department store's home decor section. 181 dark stones and 180 light stones make a full set but that amount covers the entire board which would never really happen. You should be able to get by with significantly fewer stones than a full set.
