This is only the reversible mat for Lasca and Dox, which is included in the
Compendium [www.thegamecrafter.com]
If you wish to purchase these games apart from that collection, you'll also need to order 11 token chips each of black, red, and green, and 24 white from The Game Crafter's store in order to play.
Invented in 1911 by Emanuel Lasker, Lasca is a descendant of Checkers and the Russian game of Bashni. Players move their pieces the same as in Checkers, but captured pieces remain on the board in a column underneath the capturing piece, and can be freed later by another capturing piece, friend or enemy. Be careful not to free the enemy officers!
On the reverse side of the board you'll find Dox, a forgotten game from 1959. Rules are also included for playing "The Man in the Moon" from 1890 and "Three Musketeers" from 1969!
