Description

What is Letters from Home?

Letters from Home is a strategy card game created by Daniel Peralta. You serve as a military war general trying to balance winning the war and keeping your battle secrets and staying in contact with your family.

How To Play:

The game is from 2 to 4 players, but you can just as well play with 5 to 6 if you have enough secrets tokens (getting the Deluxe, or just using your own Poker Chips).

Each player is handed three cards from the Yellow/Orange deck and three secret tokens from the secrets pile (bank). After that has occurred, you flip over the top two cards from the Yellow/Orange deck face up, this is the store. Each turn, a player has three actions. The actions which they may perform include:

Drawing a card from the Yellow/Orange deck. (There is a hand limit of three cards, but no minimum. A player may draw as many cards as he/she wishes, withing the alotted actions, as long as he/she does not go over his.her hand limit. Drawing 1 card = 1 Action).
Playing a card and performing that card's action. (He or she may use all of their actions to play cards, if they wish. Note:Some cards require two actions.
Delivering a Letter. If a player has a letter (which are easily recognized), they may play it in front of them, face up, for one action. This means the letter is delivered.
Draw for secrets. A player may use an action to draw from the Secrets (mini) deck and receive however many secrets it states from the center pile. However, you can only do this once per turn, unlike the others. This costs one action.
Winning the Game:

You can win the game one of two ways:

Elimination: If you are the last one in the game that has not been eliminated, you win. (You are eliminated from the game is you ever run out of secrets.)
Or...

Perfect Balance: You are the first player to accumulate three delivered letters AND six secrets.
