Linger

Linger is a survival horror board game that puts humans versus zombies in a strategic scenario with one simple goal, survival. After a strain of bacteria mutated, the population of the world rapidly became infected. This infection led to the deterioration of the host's body. With no cure created, widespread panic led to the fall of many societies. The victims of this strain of bacteria became violent and began attacking animals, creating swarms of ravenous humans. With no control of their bodies, the only instinct of the infected was to continuously devourer any kind of food source they could find. This led to the extinction of various animals which in turn, resulted in the collapse of many ecosystems. Once this happened, the infected turned toward cannibalism and began attacking humans. With no name categorizing these ravenous creatures, the humans decided to call the infected "zombies" based on their behavior portrayed by popular movies and literature.

Yet, the lucky ones who survive the first exposure now have the task of surviving every day from the horde of "zombies". With the collapse of society, a higher power of control rose in attempts to control these creatures. This led to the destruction of many cities and towns by nuclear weapons in attempts to eradicate areas with high levels of "zombie" activity. Unfortunately, you are located in a town that has been scheduled to be annihilated within a few weeks. To make matters worse, you and the other survivors can't escape by means of walking because the streets are over-run with "zombies". Your only hope is to fabricate a vehicle to power through the "zombies" to escape. It is your group's task, within a few weeks, to scavenge for parts around town to create this escape vehicle. However, you and the others soon become concerned...for as the days quickly begin to pass, you are not sure if you all will survive the "zombies" in your attempts to LINGER through this catastrophe.
