Description

Liver Land is a medical education board game geared towards early clinical students. The game includes a link to a brief video tutorial on understanding liver related blood tests which should be viewed prior to playing. The game itself includes liver disease knowledge questions as well as asking players to apply their knowledge of liver pathophysiology to predict what the liver associated blood tests for diseases typically are. It has been piloted with a group of third year medical students who gave such feedback as: "Game was a refreshing way to learn and test knowledge. 10/10 would do again!" "Great game! Made learning fun!" "Fun way to practice thinking about LFTs" "LOVED IT!! Great way to learn and really think about how these diseases affect ALT/AST and bilirubin"

89% of students reported the they were "likely" or "very likely" to use what they learned in patient care.
