In Lost Pirate, you'll take on the role of a captain navigating through dangerous waters. Your goal in Lost Pirate is to protect the loot and conquer mighty waves!
The game consists of 18 double-sided cards featuring loot cards on one side and events on the other.
The game is made with replayability in mind. Players have many choices to influence the flow of the game. Even with months of playing, players will be able to find new ways to approach the game.
The cards have UV Coating and are embossed with a linen texture.
The uniqueness of this game lies in its compact size, yet it offers an immersive and captivating experience filled with strategic depth, unpredictable challenges, and the thrill of uncovering hidden combinations, making it a gem among small tabletop adventurers.
During the game, you will look at the top of the loot card for symbols and try to place them from left to right to form a progression.
Once you make a combination, as a reward, you draw the top loot card from the loot deck and place it in your play area.
In addition to drawing a loot card, you take the top event card and discard it. Discarded cards are placed on the top of the discard deck loot side facing up.
In the middle of the loot card, you will see 3 resources: Bombs, Food, and Water. Each player can't have more than five of any one resource. For example, a player could have 5 bombs, 3 food, and 5 water.
At the bottom of all loot cards, you will find special effects. Loot card effects can be used before the first step of each round and after flipping the loot card and putting it under the event deck.
Effects are instantaneous. Once the effects are used, the loot card is flipped and put under the event deck.
When the event card is played, and the players need to fulfill its requirements. Event cards with green flags will ask players to have the number of a specific type of resource.
If players do not have enough resources to fulfill the requirements, they discard a number of loot cards equal to the shortfall. Discarded cards are placed on top of the discard deck.
If the flags of the event card are red, they discard the identified cards. If they are unable, they lose the game.
Discarded cards are put on top of the discard deck. Only after step 5, the current event card is put on top of the discard deck.
1. Shuffle the deck of cards and place it face down as the loot card deck.
2. The youngest person becomes the first player of the round.
1. The first player draws 3 loot cards from the loot card deck.
2. The first player chooses a loot card and places it either to the left or right of their play area
3. The second player repeats Step 2.
4. The remaining loot card is flipped and added under the event deck face-down.
5. After three rounds, the top event card is placed in the play area and becomes the current event.
6. Players check the event card for its requirements. Discard the current event.
7. Repeat steps 1-6 until the loot card deck is empty. Change the first player with each new round.
8. Once no loot cards are left in the loot deck, play all event cards in sequence.
The player who still has loot cards in their player area or has more points at the end of the game - wins the game.
The game is played the same as with 2 players.
The exception is Step 1. Instead of 3 loot cards, the player draws 2, chooses 1 to place in their area, and the remaining card is flipped and put under the event deck.
At the end of the game, the players count the number of resources left in their play area and add 3 points for every symbol combination they made during the game. 1 resource is worth 1 point.
If you would draw 3 loot cards from the loot deck, but there are only 2 cards, both players take and place their loot cards, and no new event is made.
If there is only 1 loot card from the deck, the first player takes the card and places it in their area.
For solo play, if there is only 1 loot card, the player places it in their area and no new event is made.
