The game setting is some date in the near future, after a nuclear war that destroyed much of civilization as we know it today. You play as Luke Rider who is a quiet stranger that roams the lands looking for fuel and other items to upgrade his car, bolster his defense, and survive. Along the way, Luke encounters many foes, be it a convoy of looters, a gang of hoodlums, or a person selling some upgrade parts. Money is a thing of the past. Gasoline is the now the currency.
Luke Ryder is solo deck builder. It's you against the deck. Contained in the deck are support cards, enemy, attack, defense, and deck manipulation cards.
Primary goals in designing this game:
1) Make the cards easy to read from a distance. 2) Design it from the ground up as a solo game. 3) Keep the price low. 4) Make it a cards-only game. 5) Incorporate the Ultimate GeekDice System.
This game was designed from the ground up to played as a solo game. That means you do not need worry about rule exceptions or solo variants in order to play the game. The game contains a deck of 54 cards. This keeps the cost low while still offering a large variety of cards. 39 of the cards in the deck are unique and 3 have multiple copies.
Luke Ryder is unique from other card games in that it contains the "The Ultimate Geek DiceDeck" system. This allows for a random enemy attack between 3 and 6 each turn and blends dice with cards without the necessity of custom dice.

Included in the price is the premium add-on of UV coating to the cards providing greater card durability.
Note: In order to keep the price low, and because many people sleeve their cards, the deck does not come with a tuck box. Also, the rules and tracker are offered as free downloads. This allows you the option to either print the rules or view them on your computer and/or your mobile device. Also, the cards may appear to to have a green border, a gray, or brown border depending on the lighting.

Simple and fun game. The best thing is how simple is the enemy turn:just events and damage. I would love to have more events, but for that price, it's a really good option.

Challenging deckbuilder I played 4 times with 1 win. The losses kept me coming back for more and you can increase or decrease the difficulty with a few tweaks, so excellent replayabilty.
