Description

There's a saying that "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach" and it might be true to all too.

It's lunchtime and you, your coworkers, and your bosses are already hungry. Your goal is to share your food with them, cook, or pay for their meal to gain glory. But you must also look out for your own food, 'cause you might end up curl up and die, right?

And also beware, others might hinder your plans as everyone aspires to be the next Lunchtime-Employee-Of-The-Year.

Created for the Lunchtime Game Challenge. Kindly support and vote. Thank you. :)

LUNCHTIME ROLL is a push-your-luck & take-that lunchtime game for 2-6 players.

Share food all the way to glory to be the Lunchtime-Employee-Of-The-Year!

SETUP:

  1. Choose for a Starter Player that will take the first turn. (You may choose the player that ate the yummiest meal today.)
  2. Each player will take a Player Aid, a Red Cube, a Blue Cube, & a White Cube. Place the Red Cube on the #5 of Food Points. Do not place yet on your Player Aid the Blue & White Cubes; you can only place it if you gain a Cook Point (Blue Cube) or gain a Glory Point (White Cube) during the game.
  3. Shuffle face down all the cards and place them FACE UP on the table so that all may see the top card. This will be the Draw Pile. Reserve a space on the table for the Discard Pile.
  4. Each player, starting from the Starter Player to the next player clockwise, will draw a card and place it face up in front of them.
  5. The Starter Player will take the 6 Dice to begin that player's turn for the first round.

GAME ROUND:

The game plays clockwise in turns.

I. Rolling Dice:

  • On your turn, you may roll the dice up to three times. You can stop rolling any time.
  • On your first Roll, roll the 6 dice. If you like some of your results, you can set them aside. All dice that was set aside cannot be rerolled on your second or third Roll. If there are Boss results, those are automatically set aside, thus you cannot reroll a Boss result.
  • If you choose to NOT stop, you may reroll the ones you don't like for your second or third Roll.
  • After you finish your three Rolls (or you decide to stop), declare that you will not roll anymore by saying "lunchtime". You cannot roll again after you declared "lunchtime" (unless a played card says so).
  • After the lunchtime declaration, proceed to Resolving Dice.

II. Resolving Dice:

  • Use the Cubes as marker to the counters of Food (Red Cube), Cook (Blue Cube), & Glory (White Cube) points of your Player Aid. Then resolve based from the following Dice results:

table.png

  • If you have Cash Dice result & didn't use it to the Boss or Coworker Dice result, you may use it to another player instead. Thus, -1 Food & -1 Glory Points to that player's Player Aid then you gain +1 Food point instead.

  • During your turn, you may subtract 2 Cook Points to convert into an imaginary 1 Cook Die Result. Thus, if you spend 2 Cook Points, you can use it with the Boss/Coworker Dice Results to gain glory.

  • The Cook & Glory points in the Player Aid can be used during your turn, based from the following:

-2 Cook = +1 Food

-1 Glory = +1 Cook

-1 Glory & -1 Cook = +1 Food

  • You can only have a maximum of 7 Food & 5 Cook Points in your Player Aid. Thus, for example, if you have 5 Cook Points already, you cannot add anymore even if you have Cook Die results after the lunchtime declaration.

III. Playing Card:

  • There are cards that can be played during your turn, before the first Roll, or after the lunchtime declaration. Any player may or may not play a card.

  • Playing a card means that you will follow what is written on the card.

  • If you played a card, place it on the Discard Pile.

  • There are a total of 18 unique effect cards.

TURN ENDS:

Once you're done resolving and there are no more players that will play a card, your turn ends. Pass the 6 Dice to the player on your left to begin that player's turn. After the turn ends, only players that has no more cards in front of them will draw a card on the Draw Pile.

If there are no more cards on the Draw Pile, players cannot draw cards anymore.

Then the round continues with the Rolling Dice, Resolving Dice, and Playing Card.

PLAYER ELIMINATION:

If a player has 0 Food point in their Player Aid, that player lost and is eliminated.

END OF THE GAME:

The game ends when a player (Employee) reaches 12 Glory points at the end of its turn or if only one Employee remains.

The Employee who reaches 12 Glory points or is the last survivor wins and is awarded Lunchtime-Employee-Of-The-Year!

NEW PLAYER JOINING:

AAny time during the game, a NEW player may join with #5 Food Points & #0 Cook Points on its Player Aid. That new player will also copy the # of Glory Points of another player that currently has the lowest # of Glory Points on its Player Aid.
