If you've only recently gotten into Carcassonne, you probably don't see the need for an add-on like this. But if you're like me and you've collected several Carcassonne expansions over the years, your games are high-scoring. You've done your best Meeple gymnastics, trying to orient the little wooden people in varying ways to indicate different values, but inevitably confusion arises - either because someone bumped the table (and now your head-stander is a flat-backer) or because a friend has a different convention for the 100 point position.
Or you've looked at the little weird "50" and "100" tiles that come with the Inns and Cathedrals expansion and wondered how on earth that's supposed to help you. Can you really be given a tile and be expected not to fidget with it? And even still, why keep the score in two places - the scoretrack AND the player's hands?
No longer. These meeple flags attach directly to the meeple, indicating how many points you have at any time. If you've passed the start once, add the +50 banner. A second time, add the +100 banner. And so on.
Included in this set are six flags for +50, +100, and +150. Additionally, there are two flags for each of the +200, +250, and rare but sometimes possible +300. This brings the total number of flags to 24!
So keep up with your personal gymnastics routine, but give your meeples a break. Buy them some thematic banners to raise proudly as they march around the scoretrack, heralding the glory of your Carcassonne empire.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can send me a message on game crafter, or via reddit under username StarFlicker. Thanks!
