Description

Players take turns buying stock and collectively operating railway companies to earn the most dividends.

This game has a competitive collective feel, where players share the companies when laying track to get to cities they want funds in. Players will need to plan when to buy stocks at certain times or even be force to overpay for it just to get the stock they want.

The gameboard is randomized to get a different playthrough each time you play.

This game is designed to play on the go. The end of the game is scored very easily without the need of trackers, calculators, pen & paper.

The game turn is simple. There are two choices a player can take on their turn. They can either:

  • Buy 1 stock
  • Lay track (placing cubes on gameboard)

Stock is used at the end of the game when paying out dividends (final scoring). Laying track earns players funding in cities the companies operate in. Funds are used to buy stock.

Stock prices are related to how many track cubes that company has. Using a company's cubes to reach cities will lower the price for other players to buy stock in that company.

This game has a solo mode with an easy-to-run bot. The bot will use a deck which decides what it will do on it's turn.

Here is quick overview and example solo playthrough

The entire game fits into a mint tin DSC04011.jpg

The easiest way to put it away in the mint tin is to put all the cubes in the tin first (all 1 layer). Then put all the mint cards. then create two piles of 18 cards of the microsized cards.

Smart quick Euro. Great when travelling but I wouldn't necessarily play when space isn't an issue.

I've enjoyed playing the solo bot a few times. It gives the flavor of those 18xx games but less upkeep and time to play. After getting to rules it's a nice game to play with a movie or something. The ...
