Description

Beat the competition in a wild race unique to your tabletop!

In Mintico Grand Prix, play a card that shows how your car will move around the track. Then, use the movement templates pictured on your card to see the exact path your car takes. Add to your race deck when you run over red tokens, and collect points by running over yellow tokens. The first players to finish the race earn additional points, and the racer with the most points wins the game!

Setup: Give each racer a car, a start deck, and a set of four movement templates. Put the pit card on the table and place three race cards on it. Form the race course by scattering tokens along its path. The start/finish card and cars should also be placed on the course. Each player draws four cards from their deck to form their hand.

Taking a turn: On your turn, play one card from your hand and do what it says.

Most cards picture movement templates that show how to mover your car. Place the movement template in front of your car. Then move your car to the other end of the movement template.

  • If your car drives over a yellow token, pick it up. It is worth one point at the end of the game.
  • If your car drives over a red token, leave it there. Choose a card from the pit and place it in your discard pile.

After resolving the effects of your card, discard your hand and draw four more cards.

After everyone takes a turn, determine who is in the lead. This person becomes the first player in the new round. The player who is in last may freely rotate their car if desired.

End game: The game ends at the end of the round in which a player drives onto the finish card.

Players who reach the finish line gain five points. Other players receive three, one, or no points depending on how close they are to the finish.
