Welcome to Aloris, once a land inhabited by humans and animals now overrun by monsters and magic. To keep the peace, the human race started to create summoners, selected individuals that capture and tame monsters in hopes to bring the number of monsters down, however, over time the goal changed. Summoners still capture monsters, as that is their duty, but now they use those monsters to battle other summoners in intense battles. This game they made now goes by MONSTER ZONE.
Monster zone is a dice based monster card game! Battle with your friends to see whose monsters are stronger! All you have to do is deplete your opponents LP/DP before they deplete yours!
It continues to go on like this for a while until one player either loses all of their LP or a player runs out of cards in their deck. Of course there's a lot more that goes into it but you can always read the rules here!
Types of Cards
Defense: Defense cards are used to protect a player's DP, while a defense card is on the field no other card ,except the defense cards, can be attacked as long as a player has DP. Furthermore, any damage their defense type makes is only worth half damage as long as a player has DP. So if the opponent has DP and one of their monsters are attacked by a defense monster it's only worth half, however once the opponent runs out of DP defense cards will then attack for full damage.
Attack: These cards usually require a roll to use their attack. These cards don’t have any special purpose aside from well..attacking! These cards will be your main hitters to win the game!
Effect: These cards usually have effects that don't require a roll, they help keep your cards safe and keep you in the game longer!
Battling
If monsters want to attack there are 2 ways a monster can do that: Directly or through card effect.
If a monster attacks with a card effect then the star count is by-passed, meaning most monsters can be attacked despite their star count (note:each star is worth 10hp)
If a monster directly attacks that can go a few different ways: - Unordered listIf both monsters have equal star counts then both are destroyed - If a monster with higher stars attacks a lower star monster the monster is destroyed and whatever damage is left is taken out of the players LP or DP - If a lower star monster attacks a higher star monster (depending on the circumstance) then the lower monster IS destroyed but also takes HP from the card it attacks (If a 3 star attacked a 7 star then the 7 star would go down to 4 stars) and neither player takes damage. - If there are NO monsters on the field then you can attack the player directly! Doing full damage!
There is so much more! Monsters from different lands! Pets you can use to help the monsters on the front lines! The many tricks and strategies you can do! Are you ready to become a summoner?
