Mountain Dice is a 1 to 4 players dice game where you roll dice and combine them by adding or multiplying 2 dice out of 3 to climb up your way to the top of the moutain. The first player to complete his Mountain wins.
Preparation
Each player chooses a color and take all the components of that color (cubes, disks, meeples and dice).
Meeples are placed on the boxes 1, 16, 25 and 36.
The board is placed in the middle of the table and players sits in front of their color.
Players roll dice simultaneously each round.
Basic Rules (4 player games)
Roll 2 dice
Place them in the grey squares on your left)
Choose 2 out of 3 dice. As a third dice, use the one on the right side of the board inline with yours.
Choose an operation to add (+) or to multiply (x) with the selected dice. In this example possible combinations are:
2X2 = 4
2+2 = 4
2X1 = 1
3+1 = 3
Place a token (cube or disk) on the space corresponding to the score obtained.
How to place a token on the Mountain
Start by filling the pale triangles at the base of the mountain (4, 5, 7and 8).
To place a token a pale triangle on an upper level, the 2 pale triangles on the lower level must be occupied. For example, 4 and 5 must be occupied to place a token on triangle 9.
To place a token on a dark triangle, the 2 adjacent triangles must be occupied. For Example: Triangles 4 and 5 must be occupied before placing a token on triangle 20.
The Bonus Boxes
If you roll a 1, 16, 25 or 36, then remove the meeple and place it on a triangle of your choice in the Mountain, provided that the token is placed on a valid triangle.
How to win
The first player to complete the Mountain wins. In case of a tie, the player with the most bonus boxes left wins. Otherwise, it is a tie.
For game with 1, 2 or 3 players:
