A mysterious virus has struck the human race and everyone’s lives are at stake! However, a rare fruit, the Breckle, has been discovered that can cure the afflicted! You now lead a small group of explorers on a daring expedition to outermost regions of the planet to restore life and civility to the world.
Mountaineers is easy to learn and fun to play. To climb a mountain you need a good team and specific communication skills. However, sometimes, it is hard to get a word out or say what you want to say. To play Mountianeers, each Player is dealt an equal number of cards as indicated on the Terrain Card. To win, all Players must play cards in ascending order. In Mountaineers, you must communicate with your team about the number on your card(s) without explicitly saying the number on the card or anything associated with a number (0-100) to the other players. However, you may give clues, and that is where the hilarity begins. Beware, the conditions on the mountain are always changing and the difficulty increases with each round of play. Each step will either bring you closer to the top or a quick plummet off the edge. Succeed and advance. Get a card out of order and lose a life! Play as a group, win or loose as a group!
Cooperative play for 3-8 players. Ages 10+
Game Play Summary: Each player may give clues about their card but may not explicitly say the number on their card (see below for more info). Player one may say something like “lucky number, craps, age in first grade”. Player two would say “retirement, social security”. Player three perhaps could give clues like “legal to drink” and player four would give clues as well “my age, September”. As a group, you must decide who plays first, second, and so on. To win the round and proceed, the cards must be played in ascending order, therefore cards should be played by player one (7), three (21), four (30) and two (65). If any card is played out of order, play stops and you lose a life and replay Terrain until successful. You may also choose to use a Skill Card.
