Moxie

Goal: Be the first player to build a path and travel from your Start Disc to your Finish Disc.

Contents: Game Board, Dice Boards (Regular and Advanced), 12-sided dice, 6 sided dice (white & black), Pawns (red & blue), Bag of Discs

The full instructions are in the box, but basically it goes something like this:

The Moxie Game Board is an 11x11 grid. Players take turn rolling the 12 sided dice and then referring to the Regular Dice Board (numbered 1-12). There are 12 places on the Dice Board: The odd (gold) spaces are the Move spaces The even (blue) spaces are the Build spaces

Building: If the dice designates a Build space, the player places the indicated number and type of discs onto the game board.

Moving: If the dice designates a Move space, the player moves their pawn the indicated number of spaces.

At the start of the game players focus on building and blocking; towards the end the focus shifts to moving.

Advanced Game Play – “Call Your Shot”: For a faster (and slightly less random) version of Moxie, before each turn a player declares if they are going to “Move” or “Build” by rolling the black 6-sided dice to Move or the white 6-sided dice to Build and following the designations from the Advanced Dice Board.
