If you enjoy strategy games, then Multagy is for you! The object of Multagy is to destroy your opponent's base using your creatures, food, drink, weapons, armor, and shelter cards. Read the description below to learn the rules on how to play:
To play, you will need a deck of 36 cards, a coin, something to keep track of money (paper/pencil), and a friend to play against! It is only $6.99 to buy our 18 card booster pack, which will help you expand your deck. And just $11.99 for our 36 card deck box. In total, there are 70 cards to collect in set 1, with a few additional cards. Those are rated A+. The other cards range from F-A (F, D, C, B, and A), with F being the most common and A being the most rare.
First, you start out with 4 cards in your hand and 2 of each type of money (X and Y). If you don't draw either a Base or a Creature on the first draw, then shuffle your hand back into your deck and redraw. Then your opponent gets to draw one extra card. Then decide who will go first.
On your next turn, draw 1 card and get 1 money (on every turn except for the first turn.)
If you have enough money, you can place down a creature, shelter, or base. You always have to have a base in play, so if you don't draw one at the beginning, you have to play down your substitute base which you will always have out. If you draw a base later in the game, subtract the amount of damage done to your substitute base from your new base. For example, if your opponent did 4 damage to your substitute base, subtract 4 from the one you just placed down. (Substitute bases are worse than normal ones) Shelter cards help your creature, ability wise.
Once you have a creature down, you can then play weapons, armor, food, and drinks. Weapons help add damage to your creature it is attached to. Armor helps add health to your creature it is attached to. And food and drinks activate your creatures' moves.
When you attack, you flip a coin to determine whether you are attacking the base or your opponent's creature. Note that if your opponent only has a base out, you don't need to flip the coin. One side lets you attack your opponents base, and the other side lets you attack their creatures.
The object of the game is to destroy your opponent's base. When you do, you win. It helps to have a piece of paper at your side to keep track of everything. Remember to save your money! Also, remember to plan ahead, because you never know what will happen! Shelters are also a good idea to put in your deck because they can protect your creature and make for a more interesting game, as well as weapons and armor.
