Mythic

Mythic is a strategy card game where players bring powerful guardians into play on a randomized playing field of location cards. The object is to be the first player to occupy all four of the "shrine" locations and control the fate of the world. Guardians interact through use of Action Cards in the form of martial and arcane duels as well as tests of strength and charm to remove each other from play. Action cards also allow the guardians to form alliances, move from one location to another and boost themselves with powerful artifacts and specialized "bursts". Place your guardians and pick your battles carefully.

Mythic is easy to learn as you go and usually only takes a turn or two to be comfortable with the game mechanics and a game or two to appreciate the impressive amount of guardians available. The game play was designed to be intuitive without having to constantly check the rules document.

Mythic is the result of over three years of play testing. I love it, my friends love it, my coworkers love it, and I think you'll love it too.

The story.......

Dark clouds gather. The earth trembles and the sky bleeds. Water rises up to engulf cities. A great Cataclysm draws near. Mythic guardians rise up at places of power. Some are mortal men seeking power or peace or glory. The Fey stir in their ancient forests. Things long dead, return. And primal forces for good and evil turn their attention to our world.. Forgotten shrines are revealed as centers for the life blood of our planet, those who control them will decide the fate of the world. Factions emerge out of the chaos seeking to end the apocalypse or to guide it. Will your faction be victorious in this ultimate conflict.

Nudity: Two guardian cards have bare chested females. One is a bare chested fairy from an early 20th century fairy tale book and the other is a Greek goddess from a classical painting. Both are artistic and not pornographic but it seems worth mentioning.
