Neon City Nemeses

It is the year 2086. Centralization of money, technology, and power has turned the United States from the nation we know it now into a vast no-man’s land of rural nomads pockmarked with dense urban cities where most of the population lives.

Neon City is one of these metropolises, and unlike most of its brethren, technological advances haven’t been entirely centralized and gatekept. Those living in Neon City have made it their honorbound duty to constantly crack encryption of megacorp data, allowing for advancements in biological and technical engineering to become common among the citizenry, whether it is obtained through legal means or not. There are those, however, who are more apt to use these scientific advancements to improve their corporal bodies, granting them powers akin to the superhero tales of old.

As with most instances of advancements falling into the hands of ambitious people, most of the early body modifiers used their burgeoning power to exert their will upon the city, rending it to their will and caring little for the collateral damage caused in their wake. Every action has a reaction though, and soon a handful of common folk were improving themselves to rise up against those who would selfishly wield their power and establish some semblance of justice back to Neon City. Trust would remain a rare commodity though, and the small bands of these newfound heroes would rarely be able to form any sort of city-wide coalition, each wary that the other would simply step up to replace the scourges they fought to bring down.

In Neon City Nemeses, two players each take on the role of directing one of these rag-tag augmented street gangs with hearts of gold, attempting to rid the city of the villainy that infests it, all while trying to survive the efforts of opposing forces trying to bring them down.

In this two-player game, manage your dice pool and strike when the iron is hot in an attempt to take down the shared pool of villains all the while fending off attacks by the villains launched by your opponent. The action is fast and frenetic. With resources resupplying at a slow but steady rate, do you strike while the iron is hot or continue a grim steady march to victory? The choice is yours in Neon City Nemeses!

Having a wide variety of characters to choose from, no two games will ever be the same. The spectrum of skills and special ability allow for a playground of theory crafting, and with highly stylized components and smooth gameflow designed to keep both players engaged on each other's turns, gameplay is engaging and quickly flows into a steady, easy to understand rhythm.
