Like Go Fish, players ask for cards from other players to complete sets of 4. The player with the most Next Wave quartets wins.
Game variations: when a player completes a quartet, they share a feeling related to the quartet title, they can also choose a card from the quartet that they like, to spark a conversation around the table.
How to play: Shuffle the deck. Deal each player 4 cards. Place remaining cards face down as a draw pile. Players observe the cards without showing them to the other players.
Youngest player starts.
During a turn ask another player for a card you need to complete a quartet. You may only request a card from a quartet of which you own at least one card. Ask for the title of the quartet and then the card from the quartet you want.
If the player that was asked has the card, they must hand it over. You may ask the same player or any other player for cards until refused.
When you collect all the cards of a quartet (a set of 4 cards) place it open and call: Next Wave!
When you are refused the turn ends. Take a card from the draw pile and pass the turn to the last player that you asked for a card.
When the draw pile is empty continue playing until all the quartets are collected.
End Game: When all the players have played all the cards and all quartets are completed. the winner is the players with the most quartets.
