Night of the Bloodsucking Vampires

It began as a rumor, a Vampire urban legend, of a secret society of Vampires. Some of the oldest and most powerful to ever stalk the earth, coming together for a single dark purpose. Find and awaken the first Vampire, the Master Vampire, the Alpha. A creature so old that its image has been found on Neanderthal cave paintings in Europe. Showing up at various points in History, leaving a swathe of blood and destruction in its wake, before returning to slumber in the dark cold earth. An evil force of un-nature that cannot be killed, only survived, like a storm, until it passes.

Why these Vampires wanted to awaken such a creature was open to speculation. The stories say it killed Vampires as often as Humans. Some said the Society hoped, through its numbers, to influence it to their cause. Others said it was simply boredom, like a child with nothing to do poking a hornet’s nest to see what happens.

Regardless, whispers started circulating a few months ago throughout the undead community that the Society had finally found the Alpha’s resting place in a network of catacombs under an old church. Following some of the Society’s lesser members, the location and time of the awakening was soon discovered. Gathering some of the world’s most proficient Vampire Hunters, you’ve come to stop the Vampires’ plan.

As you storm the catacombs, you quickly realize that you’ve been led into a trap. The Vampires want you here, for they have discovered that blood alone is not enough to raise the Alpha. It needs a reason to awaken. The boredom of millennia is a hard thing to break. The sport of hunting the world’s greatest Vampire Hunters will prove too hard to resist. Your fight for survival will be the catalyst of the very event you've come to prevent.

Nonetheless, if you and the other Hunters can kill all the Vamps gathered here quickly enough, maybe The Alpha will lose interest and return to its slumber. Yeah, you don’t believe it either, but it’s the only chance you have now.

**Night of the Bloodsucking Vampires is the second in a series of inexpensive, stand alone, pocket games with similar mechanics and horror themes.
