Oh! You Dirty Rat! 2

This is a fun card game where you and your opponent are rival Cheese Shop Keepers on the same block. You are competing to see who makes the most profit while dealing with the occasional dirty rat that invades your shops and eats your profits. Your only hope to get rid of the rats is to find the Alley Cats! Good Luck!

Dirty Rat Rules

2 Players

Divide each deck of 54 cards: (This is version 2, where the cards profit/loss amounts are pre-printed in green for profit and red for losses. This version is great if you DO NOT wish to customize your own prices on your cards. This also may be easier for younger Children and Seniors)

Deck 1 Profits Lost - Shuffle good!

Deck 2 Cheese Sales - Shuffle good!

Place each deck in the center of table next to each other a few inches a part.

You and your opponent are very competitive shop keepers in the Cheese Market - The goal of each keeper, is to make a higher profit!

Shop keeper 1 starts off by selecting 1 card from the Cheese Sales deck, placing it face up in front of them.

If a profit was made the score keeper writes it down, and it is now shop keeper 2's turn to select 1 card from the Cheese Sales deck, placing it face up and if they made a profit the score keeper writes it down.

However, if a shop keeper selects a card and it is a "Dirty Rat" - that shop keeper's shop has just been invaded. That shop keeper must now select 1 card from the Profits Lost deck.

Every card from that deck is a loss for the unlucky shop keeper and their only hope to get rid of the rat is to find the "Alley Cat" card.

Finding that "Alley Cat" allows the unhappy shop keeper to start selecting cards once again from the Cheese Sales deck, and start gaining in profits.

The game can be finished when you deplete the decks or you can stop and shuffle the decks again and keep going for another round of competitive, luck of the draw fun!
