One Card Paper Sumo Rock

Setup

Place card in center of playing area. Each player places two fingers from one hand like a sumo standing in the first space of either side of the center line.

Gameplay

Players count aloud, “1, 2, 3, Sumo”. Once Sumo is said, players should have their hand in a shape of paper, rock, or sumo.

Determine the winner of the round by using the following diagram:

The loser of the match moves back one space on the mat toward the back end of their side of the circle. If you win the match by throwing sumo, your opponent moves back two spaces instead. If both players throw sumo, both players move back one space. If both players throw rock or paper then nobody moves.

Winning

If a player falls off their end of the mat, they lose. If both players fall at the same time due to two sumos being thrown, both players tie.
