What’s in the box

• 1 rule medium booklet
• 72 cards (288 definitions)
• 144 square chits (288 syllables)
• 15 circle chits (5 sets of 3 voting chits)
• 1 Master Owl chit

Setup the game

• Place the Definition Cards on the table.
• Place the Syllable Chits inside the box over.
• Each player receives a set of 3 voting chits.
• Each player draws ten (10) Syllable Chits and places them on the table.

How to play the game

• One randomly chosen player begins as the Master Owl, draws a Definition Card, and reads one of the four definitions out loud.
• The Master Owl chooses a category (Brilliant, Funniest or Dumbest).
• Everyone else must create a real or makeup word with their syllables. A makeup word cannot be more than four syllables.
• From left to right, player read their word out loud and are strongly encouraged to insert it into an example.
• Players (except the Master Owl) will vote simultaneously by sliding the voting chit of the chosen category toward their favorite word, and whoever played that word keeps the Definition Card as one Owl Point.
• In case of a tie, the Owl Master will be the tiebreaker and will choose a favorite word.
• After the round, the player who got the Owl Point becomes the Owl Master. Used Syllable Chits are discarded in the bottom box, and everyone draws back up to ten Syllable Chits from the box cover. Special Actions
• At any time, players may trade in an Owl Point to return as many Syllable Chits as they'd like and draw back up to ten.
• Syllable Chits are printed both sides. A player may flip them as needed but can only use the large bold syllable to make a word.
• A player who gets the exact word automatically wins the round (no vote).
• If all Syllable Chits are used, replace discarded Syllable Chits in the box cover. Game End
• You can end the game whenever you want or when a player obtains 5 Owl Points.
