In Operation Sea Lion - Britain in Crisis, two players simulate a hypothetical invasion of England by Germany in WWII. Both player’s will move and battle with their respective armies to determine the future of the island. Will Germany be successful in its conquest, or will Britain live another day?
The game uses simple Hex & Counter based rules. The map is divided in to hexes and players move their units (represented as counters) along these hexes. Each unit has movement values that limit their move, and has combat values that show how well they can attack.
The players bid on who will be Germany and how much of England Germany will try to conquer. After an allotted amount of time, Germany's progress is checked and victory is determined. There are options both for short games and very very long game. The game also works well for players who like to play by themselves.
