Description

Welcome to ParaDice Heights, the newest development intent on giving its residents the best living accomodations! As a developer, you must invest in the right layouts and build in order to accommodate the right amount of people for each layout: too many people and it will leave less space for amenities; too few people and your investment loses value. Build the most efficient development to win the game!

Complete rules are available to download.

The investment board is placed in the playing area and the layout cards are shuffled. This deck is placed face down under the Public Offering column. A number of cards equal to the number of players +1 are drawn and placed face up in the Public Offering column.

Each player will choose a layout to start their tower. Two more cards are then drawn and placed face up in the Public Offering column. eDpKJap.gif

headings-03.png Turns are split into three phases: Distribute Dice, Place Dice, Turn End

Distribute Dice

The turn leader will roll a number of dice from the box equal to 3x the number of players, and then group the dice into groups of 3. 6ebwqmP.gif

Starting with the player to their left, players will claim one of the groups of dice. W6utdFU.gif

Place Dice

Players will then take any of these three actions with the dice they received: Build, Invest, Store

Build

When building, dice should be placed in one of the living units. gCXvBRd.gif

If no living units are available, the die must be placed in the outdoor space with the highest value. kv5DSfW.gif

The total value of all dice on the layout cannot be greater than the value in the upper left corner of the layout. A layout is not considered complete until the total value of all dice is equal to the card's value.

Invest

Players may invest in other layouts by placing one of their dice on ANY layout on the investment board, following the same placement rules as if taking the Build action, and then moving that layout to their column of the investment board. loSFBkG.gif

Store

Players may place unused dice in a holding area near their current layout. These dice cannnot be moved except as described in the Turn End phase.

Turn End

Each player will do the following: Score & Select and Build from Storage

Score & Select

If the total of all dice on the player's layout equals the card’s value, the layout is complete, and the player must score it and select a new layout from the investment board to build.

Layouts are scored by adding the card’s value with all exterior space values not covered by dice. 8fK3tl6.gif

However, if any living unit is left exposed (without a die), only combine the negative values of the exposed living units with the card’s value and no points are earned from outdoor spaces. trZPgFI.gif

The new layout must be selected from that player’s column, or from the Public Offering column of the investment board. The player must take their new layout, along with all dice on it, and stack in on top of their completed layout

Build From Storage

Players may then place one die from their holding area onto their current layout.

Game End

The game ends at the end of a round if either: the face down layout deck has run out, the pool of dice is insufficient, or a player has completed a certain number of levels on their tower: (2 players: 10 levels, 3 players: 8 levels, 4 players: 6 levels)

At this point, players calculate their final score by taking their score and subtracting:

-5 points for each unused die in storage

-Half of the total value of all cards still in their investment column

The player with the most points wins! If there is a tie, the player with the highest tower wins!
