Pass the Gas

Pass the Gas is a fast-paced game full of family fun. The aim of the game is to be the first to collect four of a kind and then slap that "FART" card. Each time you win a round you collect a letter to spell the word "FART".

First to FART wins.

Our Story:

The idea for Pass the Gas came during one of my family's weekly family game nights. We had played every single game in our house multiple times. I decided to introduce the kids to a card game called Spoons, where you collect 4 of a kind and grab a spoon. The last person earns a letter, and the first to spell "spoons" loses. My daughter's Alyssa(7) and Liliana(5) were having a hard time understanding the concept.

To make it easier on the girls, I changed the game to the first person to get four of a kind earns a letter. We then had to decide what word we should spell. Liliana shouted the first word that came to her mind, which, of course, was "FART." As my girls both burst into laughter, we decided to stick with that word making it a rule that the first person to get four of a kind hits the word fart. To qualify as a win, they, of course, had to make a fart noise with their mouth.

Our family had so much fun playing this with loads of laughs that Alyssa said that we should sell it. So I set to work getting the artwork created and finding a place to get a prototype made. After a few tweaks, we launched the game. It has been great to show my daughters that they can take an idea and turn it into something that makes money.
