The Queen has grown tired of the same old pies. Potatoes, onions, blackbirds…all of these ingredients have been declared ho-hum by Her Majesty.
To inspire her kitchen staff, her Royal Highness has invited culinary experts from lands near and far to submit pies for an international feast. She has invited you—the royal court members with the most discerning palates—to taste each exotic pie and assess its flavors. The taster with the most robust palate will become the Queen's royal culinary advisor—a very prestigious position indeed!
Pigeon Pie is a game of finding words no one else can. Each course (round), you will be served a Pie with 6 slices (letters). Using these letters, you will compete against the other player(s) to find unique words, and score points for each one. You will also score bonuses when you find words that use certain letters, or that meet other conditions. When the feast is over, the royal taster with the most points will be crowned the winner.
COMING SOON: Visit SmallFurryGames.com/PigeonPie to purchase scorepad refills or reusable dry-erase score cards, or to download and print score sheets at home for free.
They flip it and says "Tasters of the Court, I present, a - - - - - - Pie!"
Write the word, and your letter, on your score sheet.
Each letter may only be used once per word, unless you claimed that letter (if so, you can use it any number of times).
Read your words aloud, and cross out any words that were said by other players. Then tally points for food/drink bonuses and letter bonuses, and put asterisks next to Queen's Requests.
All players score their points.
The player who scored the most individual words gains a bonus equal to the vents in the Pie.
Then return the Pie to the game box, draw a new Queen's Request tile and pass the active player token to the next player.
While we have not yet prepared an overview video for this game, the following is a casual, uncut unboxing video, with a closeup of many of the components and some description of gameplay.

EMILY WILLIX is a game designer who loves creating fun, thinky games in small packages. She signed her first game, Battle Dentale, with Bright Eye Games in the UK in 2021. Her games have been finalists in the Game Crafter’s 2021 BGDL Solo Duo Challenge and the 2021 Gateway to Games Contest, as well as the 2021 and 2022 Cardboard Edison Award, and the 2021 Ion Award. Emily is always on the lookout for ways to make games more earth-friendly, and operates her company, Small Furry Games, from a solar- and wind-powered sailboat currently located in the Dominican Republic. When she’s not designing games, Emily is probably proofreading another game designer’s rulebook. Or playing a game. Or thinking about games. But when she’s not doing anything game-related, she spends her time making YouTube videos, maintaining an old boat, and playing music with friends.
