Healthy plants are the foundation for all life on earth. They make up the oxygen we breathe and over 80% of the food we eat. Plant health is the key to feed the growing global population, which will reach 10 billion by 2050.
Plant pests threaten food security and cause great economic losses. Pests are defined as any species that damage plants or plant products and include insects, virus, bacteria, nematodes, fungi and invasive plants. They are responsible for up to 40 percent for the loss of global food crops, and for trade losses exceeding $220,000,000,000 annually.
In this game you get to be the bad guy and learn what it takes for plant pests to become successful. You learn what impact international trade has on the spread of pests, and the countermeasures that are taken by governments to prevent their spread.

Game rules are currently available in English and Dutch, but will soon also be available in French, Spanish and German.
