Pocket Apiary is a worker pool game where the placement of your workers earns you nectar cubes that can be used to pollinate new flowers into your garden or traded in for honey. Each flower provides an ability that when strategically used will allow you to earn the cubes you need to succeed.
You are a beekeeper trying to harvest pure honey from a beautiful garden of dandelion, lavender, and mint. The player with the most pure honey and diverse garden will earn enough points to win the game.

If there are no bees in your garden or any in the field, your only option is to move one from the apiary to your garden. If the bee lands on a flower with a nectar cube you take it. Next, you must perform the column action if possible. Column actions allow you to gain additional cubes or place cubes on empty flowers. | ![]() |

If you don't already have a bee in your garden, you can also move bees from the field to your garden. Sometimes these bees will already have some leftover nectar on them. Move the bee to your garden and take the cube. You still take the flower cube and perform the column action. Careful! There is a 3 cube limit. |
From the Field to the Apiary | |
You can send all bees from the field to the apiary whether or not you have a bee in your field as long as you have less than 3 cubes in front of you. If the bee in the field had a cube on it, leave it in the apiary. | ![]() |

As long as your bee has the correct cubes to pay the pollination cost for one of the flowers, it can move to the field. Trade in the cubes to plant one of the flowers in your field; left-to-right, top-town. Leave any remaining cube on the bee. |
Within your Garden | |
Bees can move within your garden but must move to a flower in a different column. Gain cubes and perform actions as normal honoring the 3 cube limit. If you can't fully complete an action, you do none of it. | ![]() |

If you have 3 cubes at the start of your turn, the bee must leave your garden and sometimes this means going to the apiary. You might decide to go to the apiary with just 1 or 2 cubes. If there are 4 of the same color cube in the apiary, you can trade them in for honey. |
The game end is triggered when a player plants a 12th flower or all 9 honey cards are claimed. Every player will get an equal number of turns.
The more of a pure honey you collect, the more points you earn. One is 2 points, two is 6 points, and all three is 12 points. Common honey is only worth 1 point.
You also earn 2 points for every alternating flower in a column of your garden. Deduct 1 point for every flower that still has a nectar cube on it.
The total is your final score. Highest score wins!
