POKA talks no more of kings and queens, but of the key issues in our time.
It is composed of the letters in the english alphabet underlayed by a gradient of colors. The amount of each card is related to its frequency of use in the english language. This makes some cards apear 4 times, others 3, others 2, and others 1.
This difference is used to attach to the group of letters a suit and a number.
A sole card, the Star, represents reality and the toughness of life, death and the need of someone to do the dirty work. Evil does not exist in this game, only mischievousness.
A versatile deck of cards, that can be used to play an ample selection of games. And hopefully, these games will revolve around important subjects to us all and bring light while having a good time.
Poka can be as serious and logical as you wish, or as childlike and relaxed as needed.
You can download the games pdf on this page. Some games you will like and others don't. This alone can help people know each other and help you know yourself. You can also create your own games or play traditional card games.
I hope that POKA will find a place in your game shelf, your pocket or bagpack, and make us look inside, so we can then look at each other.
