Description

PORT AND PLUNDER: Set in a loose depiction of the Caribbean Sea, this pirate based board game affords the gamers many different strategies to choose from. Each with its own path to victory.

The game play is turn based.

Each player starts the game with a base vessel and a captain. You can choose to loot other pirates' ports or risk being out from port far enough to draw a pirates fate.

Within the pirate's fate deck are a multitude of good and bad cards that increase ship stats or abilities or wreak all sorts of havoc. draw a weak merchant vessel and on board both loot and spoils after successfully defeating it. The further from home you are looting the rarer the loot and the higher the value.

As Loot and spoils are gathered each pirate can upgrade their ship on their turn or purchase new ships and add another captain to their fleet.

When the deck is played through add in the expansion cards and the nasty fates and reshuffle the deck.

Be the first to gather 60 loot in your home port at one time and win the game.

Shorten the game by invoking carpe diem at the start and give each pirate the ability to purchase an additonal pirate vessel on their first turn or upgrade the one they start the game with.

There are a few alternate goals and rules.

The majority of the artwork in the TGC version of the Port and Plunder is AI and left as it was originally generated.

There will be many that play this with only 2, 3 or 4 people. By providing the 3d Print files and the game without components this allows them to only purchase or print what they would use.

What if I don't have a 3D printer? Purchase wooden ships and some other components as alternates from the game crafter

Have someone else print them for you. many Schools and libraries have them available.

Purchase a 3D printer. All the components that are made from the files included with this game can be printed with a Bambu Labs A1 mini. Which is about as low cost and easy of a color 3D printer that there could be.

They are not available now but I also plan on adding SVG or DXF files for ligthburn so that people that own laser engraver/cutters can create their own pieces as well.

And finally there will be a full 3D print version of the game where everything but the manual and Pirate Fate cards are 3D printable. Even the board and the set comes with a deluxe 3D printable box that fits everything (except the manual) neatly inside.

If you wish to purchase the pre put together kit that includes the designed for game chits for the loot coins, spoils tokens and battle markers as well as the clips for the stat cards you can purchase that here: Port and Plunder TGC Components for full game w/ expansion

If you wish to purchase components individually from TGC here are the links to the components we recomend:Alternate colors on same page.

Ships: Sailboat, Blue Buy a min of 3 of each color equal to the number of people you think you will play with up to 6 people.

Loot: Poker Chip, Black Buy 80 of 1 color(red for Rare Loot) and 30 of another (Yellow for regualar Loot). or whatever color you wish just have them respresent values of 1 and 3. Or use pennies and nickles.

Slide Indicators for Pirate Vessel Stat Cards: Slider Clip, Black Buy 5 of these for each of the wooden ships you bought. Whatever color scheme you desire, but watch for price breaks quantity's.

Spoils Tokens: Blank Chit, Circle, Medium Blank Chit, Square, Medium Blank Chit, Triangle, Medium Blank Chit, Arrow Assign one of each of these a value of Sails, Lumber, Guns and Battle Marker. You should only need 3 of the battle markers and 11 of each of others.

Dice: D4, Yellow Or whatever color you want or provide your own.

I am also including svg and dxf files for laser cutting the board out of wood or acrylic. The files will include its own ship design 1 thru 5 with 1 through 3 sales each, files to cut out and engrave 3 and 1 loots, Files to cut out the spoils tokens and battle marker, and files for the pirate vessel stat cards in case you would like to cut these and use them. I included a 3D model for the indicator to 3D print or you can purcahse the chip board clips on TGC.

These will all be avaiable in the Cults 3D version of the game where it only includes the manuals and the card decks and links to download the files. Making it the most cost effective version of the game.

Port and Plunder was awarded the honor of being a Cults3D Best Design.
